Dr. Steve Daren has provided numerous expert opinions to Israeli and over-seas governmental authorities and courts of law. Steve has been a project examiner in the European community (EU). Dr. Silcoff has vast experience in a broad array of chemistries. He has led research with top companies worldwide and in Israel and, was the founder of several new ventures.
Dr Elliot Silcoff provides expert’s opinion to governmental authorities and courts of law in Israel. Elliott is an expert in the fields of synthetic organic and organometallic chemistries, surfactants, electrochemistry, and surface technologies, in addition to being very adept at valorization and commercialization of new materials and processes.
Elliot is a graduate of the Hebrew University and a former faculty member at Stanford University. He is the author of several scientific articles and over 30 patents.
Dr. Fabienne Lellouche
Project Leader, Daren Labs
Dr. Lellouche has more than 30 years’ experience of managing interdisciplinary projects such as microorganism entrapment, medical devices, cosmetic formulations, supramolecular and Nano-chemistry. In parallel to project supervision, Fabienne daily assists start-ups in the Daren Innovation Center on their analytical research and overseas business development.
In Europe, Dr Lellouche has led major Agritech and Foodtech projects from concept to final product. At the CEA Atomic Energy Research Center, France, Fabienne developed new methods for the recovery of radioactive waste.
Fabienne earned her MBA from the ESDES, her PhD from UCB-Lyon 1, France, and completed her Post doctorate at Tel-Aviv University.

Dr. Mario Lebendiker
Head, Protein Purification Facility, Wolfson Centre for Applied Structural Biology, HUJI
In charge of theoretical and practical courses in protein function. Dr. Lebendiker is actively involved in many collaborations in structural and biochemical studies with universities in Israel, as well as with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Together with many other laboratories, he founded in 2010 the Protein Production and Purification Partnership in Europe (P4EU) network; a platform for the exchange of information, know-how and materials between core facility labs in the field of protein expression and purification, that meets twice a year (https://p4eu.org). Dr. Mario Lebendiker was the group leader of the protein department of Sigma Chemicals for 10 years and was in charge of project research development and production of more than 100 fine natural biochemical products that became an integral part of the Sigma catalogue (lectins, affinity resins, bacterial protein toxins, proteoglycans, enzymes, etc.). Mario is the co-author of more than 50 publications in international journals. Mario received his PhD in Biochemistry in 1982 in Buenos Aires University, Argentina.

Dr. Shmulik Ittah
Dr. Ittah is an Israeli scientist and a Biotech expert, with a proven track record in global life sciences and developing innovative products and services. With his more than 20 years of extensive and diverse experience in biotechnology research and working with related companies, he has extensive knowledge of medical devices, protein expression, computational biology and the global biotech startup landscape.
In 2014, Dr. Ittah co-founded Seevix Material Sciences LTD, in order to produce and commercialize man-made spider silk, the Holy Grail in the silk fiber industry. His silk fibers were introduced in various industrial fields, including the launch of the first spider silk based product in the world.
As an entrepreneur at heart, he co-founded Pepticom LTD and served as its CEO. Dr. Ittah is the author of numerous papers in the field of spider silk proteins, which were published in peer-reviewed journals and holds several patents in the field of spider silk. Dr. Ittah holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the Hebrew University and conducted a Post-Doc at Novartis Ltd.

Dr. Riva Kovjazin, M.D.
Dr. Riva Kovjazin is an expert in the field of immunology with over 25 years of experience in cellular immunology. From 1997, Dr Riva Kovjazin held various positions at XTL Biopharmaceuticals and at VaxilBio.
In addition, Riva was a project leader at the Center for clinical immunology, University of Medicine, Moscow, Russia where she studied the clinical immunology and diagnosis aspects of HIV. Riva obtained her degree in medicine from the School of Medicine of the University of Perm and specialized in the advanced study of immunology and epidemiology of conventional infectious diseases at the Rostov Research Institute, Russia.
In Daren Labs, Riva is assisting start-ups to tackle flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) analyses.
